It's all in aid of MACMILLAN CANCER SUPPORT who will be there to say a few words too.

Hey folks,

Just a reminder that we're holding a charity screening of "Night is Day" at the Buff Club on Bath Lane at 8pm this Wednesday until 10pm.

We're showing selected episodes from the first series, some clips from series 2, as well as holding a raffle which will include a walk-on part in an upcoming film that we're producing, and some other surprises including a donation from Taggart star, Colin McCredie.

It's all for charity with the proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support.

Tickets are free so please email whoisjasonmackenzie@hotmail.com if you'd like to attend!

Thanks.

June's Trout will be next Thursday, 11th June, as usual in the Cask and Still, Hope Street.

Not as usual, we'll be having a joint meeting with the British Fantasy Society (which organises the yearly Fantasycon). There will be free snacks from about 9pm, and books available at half price (£3.99). The thread on the BFS's forum is here.

Don't forget memberships are still available for Satellite 2 — see one of the Committee if you haven't already joined, it's going to be lots of fun.

14th-May-2009 10:03 am - Trout and Satellite 2 memberships
Hi folks. I've comedown with the lurgi and have a raging temperature. Needless to say I WON'T be at Trout with S2 membership forms. Other members of the committee will be there though, and you can get forms from the website here, so, no excuses, ok :-)
11th-May-2009 11:31 am - Satellite 2
Just a reminder that I will have membership forms for Satellite 2 with me at Trout on Thursday. If you haven't already signed up, and want to, remember to bring some extra money with you (£10 supporting/£45 attending) and you'll be able to join on the night.

For all the latest on Satellite 2, go to the website.

It was only this morning that I posted on my own LJ about the new Glasgow SF site on Ning.

http://glasgowsf.ning.com/

Founded by dalg it aims to be a hub for all of Glasgow's SF groups and events, acting as a central point of information. With the announcement of a Trout community being formed on Dreamwidth perhaps there should be a link set up to keep both sites in the loop.

The Trout meeting for May will be on Thursday 14th May, as usual in The Cask & Still, Hope Street, from 7pm. (There are usually some Trouts there earlier than that.) There's something else going on in the pub that night, but we will have our normal area at the rear of the pub.
